We are pleased to announce that Ukraine will have an official delegation at Reeperbahn Festival and Conference, one of Europe's key music business events, taking place from September 18th to 21st, 2024, in Hamburg, Germany. The Ukrainian delegation will include music industry professionals attending for networking and business development, along with a Ukrainian band performing in the official showcase program.

Delegates:

Yevhenii Skrypnyk – founder of the NGO Shum Rave. Yevhenii started a series of rave parties in Sloviansk in 2019 to address the lack of nightlife. He brought Boiler Room to Ukraine and has led various cultural and educational activities, helping develop the electronic music scene in the Donbas region.

Maryna Mykhailova – concert manager for artists such as Lukas Bird, Seba Korecky, Alinikuss, and PoBo, and co-organizer of Vertuha music events, known for their visual and curatorial appeal. She is also a co-founder of Vertuha Records label.

Yurii Bazaka – Founder and CEO of Kontrabas Promo, a Ukrainian music agency, and co-founder of the charity fund Musicians Defend Ukraine. He manages concerts for bands like The Unsleeping, Kurs Valut, Pyrig i Batig, and other indie artists.

Ukrainian Showcase: "Say Something Bad"

You will also have a chance to listen to the recent sensation Say Something Bad who play passionate indie-rock with blues and garage tunes and went extremely viral in TikTok, sell out local clubs and became a love band of Ukrainian zoomers. Slightly provocative texts, 3 EPs over the last 2 years, which all the fans know by heart, and a bit of mystery — this band is among the most promising newcomers of the last years.

The participation of the Ukrainian delegation at Reeperbahn Festival 2024, including logistical expenses, is supported by the Ukrainian Institute.
