Throughout 2020 Music Export Ukraine in partnership with Ukrainian Institute will announce a set of open-calls for emerging Ukrainian artists on European showcase festivals.

First round of applications will be considered for Enea Spring Break, a major showcase festival and conference for professionals to be held from 23 to 25 April 2020 in Poznan, Poland. Aplications go through double selection. Long list will be provided based on evaluation of Music Export Ukraine and Ukrainian Institute. After that representatives of the showcase will choose a final participants. All applications will be evaluated based on export-ready criteria and the following basic requirements:

  • Ukrainian citizenship and permanent residence in Ukraine;
  • minimum age 18 years;
  • Fluency in English (B2 level and above);
  • Readiness for public communication;
  • Proven professional experience;
  • The applicant's activities and position do not contradict the principles and values of the UI.

EXTRA SOUND is a long-term program of representation of Ukrainian musicians at key international showcase festivals created by Ukrainian Institute. Showcases are an important part of the ecosystem in the music industry and a meeting point for industry professionals, including bookers, agents, festival managers, labels representatives and journalists. This time selected showcase festivals are Enea Spring Break (Poland), Waves Vienna (Austria) and Budapest Showcase Hub (Hungary).
