On July 12-14 Music Conference Ukraine was held in partnership with the largest festival in Eastern Europe, Atlas Weekend. For 3 days, everyone could get acquainted with the specifics of the music industry, talk about relevant topics, share experience and get acquainted with dozens of potential partners from around the world.
This time were about three dozen of foreign experts not only from Europe, but also from distant markets of Canada, India and Japan. Therefore the first discussion panel that opened Music Conference Ukraine was dedicated to the business events in the music industry. It was great to dive more deeply into its possibilities from different perspectives.
MCU was all about special events this time. As always, networking session took place to introduce international delegates to the local experts. There was also a pitching session of music-related ideas, where 6 finalists competed for a cash prize and the winner was immediately defined by 3 foreign experts.

Yuliyana Ilieva talked about the possibilities of Apple Music for musicians, whereas Lyubov Kevkhayan (Believe Digital) and David Bali (Hungarian export office) summed up their experience with streaming services, and Egle Gedminaite from Lithuania shared the secrets of an international PR.

Female industry experts from all over Europe shared their stories about their career beginning, gender issues and why research shows that girls are still in the minority in almost all sectors of the music industry.
